Next Thing Education Presents: February Half-Term Tech Camp at Northgate Primary School

We are excited to bring Next Thing Education Camps to Northgate Primary School this Feruary half term (16th - 20th February)!

With over 6 years’ experience running Technology and STEM holiday camps across the South East, we specialise in helping children aged 5–11 discover the fun side of coding, robotics, digital design, and engineering. Our mission is simple: make technology exciting, safe, and accessible for every child. Parents describe it as “learning without realising it” — children are so absorbed in the games, builds, and challenges that key STEM skills come naturally.

This October, join us for a spooktacular week packed with:
  • Creepy coding challenges
  • Revolting robotics & LEGO builds
  • Minecraft adventures & app creation
  • Hair-raising science experiments & creative design
Why choose Next Thing Education Camps?
  • Trusted by schools & parents across the South East
  • Safe, structured, and engaging holiday childcare
  • Led by expert instructors with the latest tech
  • Childcare vouchers & tax-free childcare accepted
Spaces are limited – book now at https://www.nextthing.education/product/northgate-primaryschool/ or call 01442 873150. Find out more at www.nextthing.education
Hertfordshire's HAPpy Holiday Activity Programme 2026

In October 2025, the Department for Education (DfE) announced an extension of the Holiday and Food (HAF) programme for a further 3 years to provide holiday activities for reception aged children to year 11 age children inclusive, who are eligible for benefits related free school meals (FSM). Local programmes must include hot food, physical activity and enrichment activities. The programme will continue to run in key school holiday – Spring, Summer and Winter but not in half terms.

As in previous years, Northgate are hoping to  be able to offer a HAPpy funded programme this coming Easter - more information will be released once funding for the providers has been agreed.
