Free School Meals
 
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for universal free school meals (UFSM).
 
Children in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6
Children in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 are eligible for free school meals (FSM), if you receive any of the following:
  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit element)
  • Income Related Employment Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit with income below £16,190
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit with earned income below £7,400
in addition to school funding received from Hertfordshire county Council/Education Funding Agency, Northgate Primary School is able to claim a £1,455 grant from Government each year called the Pupil Premium for children whose parents/carers receive any of the benefits above.

We will enter this online at www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims where your information will be retained and checked at regular intervals notifying us if you become eligible at some point in the future.
